The Vampire Issue of Suspira is all about the sanguinary creatures visiting you at night. An amalgam of sex and death, the vampire archetype embodies unhinged darkness that not only embraces, but revels in the violent, the sensual, and the other. Turning inward, we see a psychological and emotional complexity that doesn’t veer far off from our own. Reflecting on humanity and mortality, the third issue of Suspira is an invitation to face all aspects of ourselves that we so willingly embrace in our monstrous alter ego. Enveloped in a reflective mirror-foil, the cover of our Vampire Issue is the first close encounter with our own reflection.
